Metro Detroit Answers: The Most Random Place You’ve Seen an Abandoned Weave

 

Where I’m from in Detroit (8 mile and Gratiot), we called them “tumbleweaves” because they were everywhere, in grocery store parking lots, the school parking lots, the side of the road….. On windy days they’d be tumbling across lawns. One of my kids even asked me what kind of bird nest one was. You would think that with how expensive those things are, they’d at least put them in their pockets when they fell off.
